Spoiler Alert. Stop reading if you haven't seen last night's episode of The Walking Dead.
The October 18 episode of The Walking Dead had a prominent scene featuring a tortoise in the path of character Enid as she walks along on an empty street. It didn’t turn out to well for the tortoise as Enid ate it, seemingly raw.
Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Here’s not Here," seemingly threw a bone to chelonian lovers with a T-shirt worn by Eastman, Morgan’s sensei, or teacher, who brought sanity back to Morgan’s life in what was really an insane world.
Did you all catch the slogan on the T-shirt as the duo were practicing their Aikido on the river bank? “Save Terrapins” was the shirt that Eastman wore, and it was a fitting shirt at that, especially in a world where everything living is fair game to be eaten. But that isn’t the only nod to reptiles in this episode. If you watched carefully, there is a scene shot in the cabin, showing two chelonian paintings, one showing a side view of the reptile and the other showing the carapace and the plastron. So the question is, what species of chelonian were depicted in the drawings?
And also, with regard to Glenn Rhee, Time Magazine is reporting that his name was no longer in the credits as of last night, so is he really dead?
