Actress Rose Byrne won a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal of a mother in the psychological thriller “If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.” While her film was considered to be a very dark film despite in being nominated in the musical or comedy category, her acceptance speech was anything but dark, especially for reptile lovers.
“I want to thank my husband, who couldn’t be here because we are getting a bearded dragon and he went to a reptile expo in New Jersey,” she said. Byrne’s brother was her date for the awards ceremony as her husband was at the reptile show looking at more important things.
Byrne beat out Cynthia Erivo, Kate Hudson, Chase Infiniti, Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone for the Golden Globe.
