Twinkie, the world’s largest albino reticulated python (Python reticulatus) has died. She was a fixture at the Reptile Zoo in Fountain Valley, CA. All of us at ReptilesMagazine.com are shocked and bummed about her loss.

From the Reptile Zoo:

“We say goodbye to the snake known the world around as TWINKIE, the 2014 Official Guinness Record holding World’s Largest Albino Python in Captivity. Once a nameless Amelanistic Albino Reticulated Python, her story began with the opening of The Reptile Zoo in Fountain Valley, California in 2009. From day one TWINKIE’s destiny was sealed as the living legend of The Reptile Zoo with guest appearances on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, her own viral meme on Tumblr, and a growing fan base. Every ounce of a gentle giant, at her prime TWINKIE weighed in at almost 350 pounds reaching over 20 feet long. Unfortunately just one month after celebrating her 11th birthday, the snake who was beloved the world around passed.”
