“From the moment I saw the first piebald neonate I knew it was very different from the clear-footed veiled chameleons that have been turning up. These chameleons are totally clear-bodied, not just the toes. They came from two normal veileds. The pigment is in patches, and the rest of the skin is transparent. The patches of colored skin can change and darken as usual.”
