And in another edition of gopher snake and Arizona news, a woman attending a wedding removed a fairly large and healthy looking gopher snake (Pituophis sp). from a stairway as wedding guests looked on in disbelief, and perhaps a bit of trepidation. The woman, named Erica (or Erika) in the video grabs her dress with one hand and then the tail of the snake with the other hand and brings the snake down the stairs and away from the guests, releasing it somewhere else on the property.

The comments on one of the videos were off the hook, with most praising her handling and removal of the snake. Said Alfonso Lozano, “That’s a wife right there.” Another TikToker said, “Normally 3 month’s salary for the ring. Four with this girl minimum.”

It is snake time throughout much of the United States as they come out of their winter dens in search of food. This is the second viral video involving a gopher snake in Arizona, with more videos probably coming throughout much of the country. Thankful to Erica (or Erika) for handling this snake the best she could given the circumstances.
