For those of you who wear contact lenses, it can be a total hassle when you run out. But what does that have to do with reptiles? Well, 1-800 Contacts has a commercial showing an animal control officer talking to a man that was eaten by a faux large snake. He talks about his upcoming trip to Cancun and the fact that he can’t see without his contact lenses as he feebly tries to remove the man from the rubber snake. The spot ends with the man inside the fake snake saying “This better make me famous.”

The spot was originally going to air in January but the intense interest from the Discovery Channel show “Eaten Alive,” caused 1-800 Contacts to move the date up to take advantage of the interest.
