"In 2008, I fell in love with a 50/50 Columbian/Peruvian hypomelanistic male from Aaron Houts of Voodoo Magic Boas (not produced). It was and is still the only one I have personally seen. I loved how clean the hypo gene made the boa and enhanced the reds and oranges. Aaron and I talked about the possibilities of the offspring if bred back to a 100-percent Peruvian female. During the two years I waited for him to grow, my male turned a beautifully bright rusty-orange-red color. Last fall, I introduced him to a great salmon-colored, 100-percent Peruvian female. This was their first breeding, and their litter was small, only five babies, but amazingly, four were hypo (two males and two females), and one really light gray and pink "normal" female, all 75-percent Peruvian and 25-percent Columbian. The colors surpassed what Aaron and I had originally expected. I look forward to the future and seeing what the offspring of these Peruvians look like after breeding them to other unrelated, 100-percent Peruvians!"
