Event is "The Nation's Largest Educational Reptile and Amphibian Show.
If you are in the Chicago area the weekend of April 12-13, be sure to check out Chicago Herpetological Society's ReptileFest, "The Nation's Largest Educational Reptile and Amphibian Show." ReptileFest is open to the public and will give visitors the chance to learn about many of the world's reptiles and amphibians. Children will be able to interact with many of the live animals on display at the show and even have their photo taken with a large reptile.
Educational exhibits will include reptile skeletons and bones, books, live animal exhibits complete with species profiles, exhibits of reptiles and amphibians that are native to Illinois, turtle pens and more. Veterinarians will also be on hand to talk about reptile health.
ReptileFest is the society’s largest fundraiser each year. Proceeds from the event enable the society to donate to conservation projects, fund its grant program and fund its rescue program.
Admission to the show is $10 for ages 12 and older. Children from 3-11 years old are $7 and children under 3 years of age are free. Attendees may be able to purchase pet products, t-shirts, jewelry and other goods at the show. Animals will not be for sale at the show. A printable coupon is available here.
