LXRYOGA is offering what it calls snake yoga, and is targeting its practice to those who are afraid of snakes.
An enterprising yoga studio in Costa Mesa, CA is harnessing the soothing powers of the ball python and has incorporated the popular reptile into its yoga studio. That’s right, LXRYOGA is offering what it calls snake yoga, and is targeting its practice to those who are afraid of snakes.
The studio keeps eight ball pythons, and when you arrive, you randomly draw a crystal, and that crystal corresponds with the specific ball python that will accompany you on your daily meeting with nirvana. The snakes are employed in the yoga session during the non-moving portions of the session, the studio wrote on its Instagram page.
“Overcome your fear of snakes through breath,” is the slogan that adorns the studio’s Instagram page.

The studio began offering its snake yoga in July 2024 and has received a mostly positive response. “It’s been exactly 3 months since we went love with our snake yoga experience & we are completely blown away by all the love from near & far–from connecting with amazing people all over Cali, out of state…Our snake yoga is something you have to experience first hand to really understand!” the studio wrote on its Instagram page back in September.
A quick view of some of the videos on the LXRpythons Instagram page, (the studio also offers yoga that is snake-free), shows a variety of seemingly healthy ball python morphs, with a variety of piebalds and pastels. So, if you are in Orange County, CA and want to experience a unique yoga experience, check out the studio in Costa Mesa.
