A petition to overturn the ban on the Burmese python, northern and southern rock pythons, and the yellow anaconda has been started by the reptile nation and those who believe in civil rights and liberties, and the betterment of the nation’s economy. The final rule was published in the Jan. 23, 2012, Federal Register, as required by law. It becomes effective on March 23, 2012. A total of 25,000 valid signatures are required by February 17, 2012 in an effort to challenge the ban on these reptiles.
