Professional golfer Andrew Loupe didn’t expect an assist from anyone, let alone a green iguana (Iguana iguana) at the recently concluded Puerto Rico Open March 9, but that is exactly what he go on the 16th green during the final round of the tournament. After making the green on the 16th hole, the iguana came onto the green and started pushing Loupe’s ball around before scurrying off, obviously noticing that the white orb didn’t have any nutritional value.

According to the USGA rulebook, rule 18-1 states that “If a ball at rest is moved by an outside agency, there is no penalty and the ball must be replaced.”  Loupe, who has played seven events this year, making the cut in two events, moved his ball back to its original location and parred the hole. He finished 12th overall. Chesson Hadley won the tournament.
