Just a few months after acquiring it, pop superstar Justin Bieber has put his pet snake, Johnson, up for auction to benefit Pencils of Promise, a nonprofit organization that provides pencils, pens, and other educational supplies to disadvantaged children all over the world. Bieber, who showed off the boa constrictor to his girlfriend and other celebrity types at the 2011 MTV Music Awards, has been a long time supporter of Pencils of Promise, and helped the organization to launch the "Schools 4 All" campaign earlier this year. The auction includes just the baby boa constrictor.

According to the terms of the auction, the winner is expected to provide "quality premium food, fresh water, sanitation and grooming, clean and secure indoor housing, clean and secure outdoor housing and overall safety." The winner must also sign a personal injury and limited liability release. The winner must also guarantee vet care of the snake when necessary.
