Do Chameleons hibernate during winter?

Chameleons come from areas where the climate is tropical or sub-tropical, so they should not hibernate. That is why it is important to provide chameleons with the proper daytime and nighttime temperatures year round. If housed in too cold an environment, they may become very sluggish, but this is not advised and should not be encouraged.
