When most people go to a museum, they expect to see exotic objects unearthed from ancient ruins and displayed in Lucite cases with gold nameplates. But museum visitors who attend herpetological exhibits experience a different kind of treat. These exhibits, which often feature live animals, are designed to display herps’ beauty to the general public and to educate people about them. Thus they often build support for wild herps while they entertain.
