pretty sure this is just copy and pasted off of the crested gecko care sheet. Also gargoyle geckos can regrow their tails.

I’ve kept gargoyle breeding group at my store for eight years and never had any serious problems with aggression between the three females and one male in an 18″ cube enclosure. In that entire time only one tail has been dropped. So long as they are well fed and have plenty of hiding areas groups seem to do just fine.

“I might be older then a lot of others on this forum but I used to try to keep Day Geckos way back in 1980’s but many would not survive over the long, long term, especially thru breeding. Once I started using the Repashy Food I started having success over the long Chicago Winters here with the animals surviving and loss rates nearly zero. Before Repashy, husbandry in many cold climates was just impossible. For the posters who question the accuracy of info; anything Mr. Repashy says is likely accurate as he revolutionized the husbandry and reptile collecting of many Gecko species.
Keeping aggressive animals apart is part of reptile husbandry well-known to most reptile keepers. Sometimes I can get some nice agreeable geckos that live together in pairs. I am new to Gargoyles, so I will let you know later on their aggressiveness in pairs. Thank you Mr Repashy for keeping my 8 Geckos healthy over many years.

“Uh, was this lifted wholesale from a crested gecko care sheet, with “”gargoyle”” substituted for “”crested””?

“” In nature, gargoyle geckos will usually lose their tails and end up with a tiny pointed tail nub. “Taillessness” is a normal condition for adults gargoyle geckos. In captivity, hobbyists like their gargoyle geckos with tails, but this requires keeping animals individually and pampered to prevent tail loss.””

Gargoyle geckos regen their tails. Including the above was just lazy. =P
