“This orange calico snapper has amazing color and shell pattern. She has solid white upper and lower jaws, with black stripes. There is no set or guaranteed way at present to guarantee hypos, pastels, calicos, leucistics, etc. The one thing we find is that attractive or high-colored adults have a higher chance of producing different-colored offspring. What is known from working with other breeders and large turtle farms, is that the odd-colored turtles, especially the hypos, are taking another seven to 14 days to hatch.”
