Police investigation continues after they retrieve bearded dragon from Pomona, Calif. man.
I would be very upset if my animals were stolen. A California woman got lucky. The unidentified woman, whose bearded dragon (Pogona vitticeps) was stolen at a pet shop where she was boarding it, has had her beardie, Ganga, returned to her by the police.
According to the Whittier Daily News, the woman dropped her pet lizard off for boarding June 9 and the lizard was stolen June 12. When she returned June 14 to retrieve Ganga, the store employees notified her that someone stole her beloved pet.

Police reviewed the store's security footage, which showed two people walk into the store and grab the entire enclosure with the bearded dragon in it and walk out of the store. Detectives later looked at the footage and identified the suspects.
The bearded dragon, Ganga was a bit unique in that the 12-inch long lizard had her claws painted with red nail polish. The police did not release any information about the suspect, nor did they arrest the man, pending further investigation.
