I have two biaks. Adore them. Both very aggressive, been tagged more than a few times. I currently have my 1ish yr old in a decent size exo terra Viv and I’m having some questions that would take forever to type out and not enough space. question…..out of all the time I have had my gtp she has always remained perched or traveling through her perches. since last night she has been burrowing in her moss substrate. it is not feeding day for another three days, and I have never seen her do this? in over a year…..what could be the cause

I just got a biak from a reptile expo here in az. I had the tank setup before i brought him home to make sure temp and humidity were right. So far so good. Hes eating and had a full shed. Seems pretty simple thus far

A GTP is for anyone. It just sits there and waits for a rat to walk by, not exactly complicated stuff here people.

To the person asking if a GTP is the snake for them being a beginner keeper, I say no. GTP require a lot more attention than the more start snakes, corns. I would suggest going with a corn as they are more resilient than a tropical snake such as a GTP. Get some experience with them first than look at upgrading to a red-tail boa, and if you can handle that after a year or so then you can most likely handle a GTP or ETB. 🙂
