The mystery skull is the Indian Cobra

Answer: The Indian Cobra (Naja naja) is the most famous, and plentiful, of all the snakes of the Indian subcontinent. They dwell in forests and fields, and are drawn to urban areas where they feed on rodents. In the wild they feed on rodents, frogs, lizards, birds and sometimes other snakes. The Indian cobra is revered in Hindu mythology and is often pictured wrapped around Shiva’s neck. As for the flute and basket, they can’t really hear the music but are actually swaying with the movement of the person playing the flute. Truly a beautiful and regal snake!

Winners: 10 winners are randomly selected and will receive 500 Club Reptile points. Winners will be notified by email.
