The mystery skull is the Eastern Glass Lizard

Answer: Eastern Glass Lizards (Ophisaurus ventralis) are the most common of the four glass lizards in Florida. They are sometimes referred to as glass snakes or Florida legless lizards. They prefer sandy/grassy areas where they can burrow down for protection and search for their food — insects and spiders. Eastern glass lizards are also one of the few lizard species that stay with their eggs after deposition. Be ever so careful with these armored little imposters, because they can lose their tails when handled too roughly, so Handle With Care … they are BREAKABLE!

Winners: 10 winners are randomly selected and will receive 1,000 Club Reptile points. Winners will be notified by email.
