Answer: The Mangrove Snake (Boiga dendrophila) is an arboreal, rear-fanged snake that lives in lowland forests and on the water’s edge throughout Indonesia. With its bold yellow-on-black pattern it is one of the most brilliantly colored and contrasting snakes in the world. The mangrove snake feeds on frogs, reptiles, birds and small mammals. It is mildly venomous with no serious cases recorded from its bite.
