What is up with memes and animals? Usually they are cat memes. Cats get most of the Internet glory with memes, and don’t get me started with the Stupid Cat Videos. But every once in a while, a reptile gets its glory in, for better or for worse.

This anole is subject of a viral lizard meme madness on the Internet.
Redditor ehar101 uploaded an image of a green anole (Anolis carolinensis) that his girlfriend sent to him. The hapless little lizard was being slightly pinched between the thumb and a finger of a human, which left the lizard fairly expressionless (if these little guys can have expressions). He almost looks like he is chilling in a chair, its arm resting up against the thumb like an armrest.
