About 50 snakes and a large number of rodents perished during a fire at a reptile facility in Hampton, VA. 

Conley Herps, a small breeder of ball pythons, Boa constrictors, and other animals, suffered major losses to its reptile facility June 23. No people were injured during the fire, Becca LeCompte, who owns the facility with her husband, Anthony LeCompte, wrote on the Conley Herps Facebook page. LeCompte also said that the rodent breeding facility wasn't heavily damaged and they still offer rodents for sale.

The LeCompte’s have spent the last several days rehousing the surviving snakes and assessing the damage done to the fire. A GoFundme page has been set up in an effort to raise funds so they can get back to business. Here is a link to the GoFundMe page
